Miner 49’er Week at The South Florida Science Museum in West Palm Beach, FL

April 5th-12th 2008
Monday through Friday: 10:00am to 4:00pm, Saturdays: 10:00am to 5:00pm
and Sundays: 12:00pm to 5:00pm

This Spring Break event features a week-long adventure in panning and mineral identification labs. Families can pan for authentic and “fool’s” gold, as well as precious and semi-precious gems. The Education Department shows proper panning techniques, while our geology expert identifies the names and features of each mineral and gem. Visitors keep their treasure, and can purchase a raw geode that the Museum will cut for free.

The South Florida Science Museum is located at 4801 Dreher Trail North,
West Palm Beach, FL 33405. Phone: (561) 832-1988. Fax: (561) 833-0551
