ALL NEW PLANETARIUM SHOW!!!
THE FRIENDLY STARS

The first all-digital, interactive planetarium show at the Museum! This special presentation encourages visitors to interact with “Sol” while they discover the importance of the Sun, Earth and their places in our solar system. Some other discoveries include what makes a star, why do they appear so small, and why is the Big Dipper so special?

Our youngest visitors can meet “Sol,” interact with our stars and hear wonderful tales of our constellations.

THE FRIENDLY STARS!
DAILY AT 1PM
April 21st to August 26th, 2007
(Show is approximately 30-45 minutes in length, depending on presenter)

“The Friendly Stars” represents a unique format for a planetarium show. The planetarium host and the audience interact with a fully animated video Sun. During the course of the show, the audience will learn about what the Sun truly is, the fact that there are planets, and how the Sun allows for life to exist on planet Earth. The show also allows the audience to interact with the stars of night, as they learn about what causes day and night, and about dot-to-dot pictures in the sky, and the story behind one of those pictures.

“The Friendly Stars” is enjoyable for all audiences, but the target audience is children pre-K to first grade.

Planetarium tickets are $4.00 for adults, $2.00 for children, and are free for Museum members. A minimum of four (4) tickets must be sold for any show to run.
