Halloween Party Games for Kids

Great for Classroom and Home Parties

Whenever you bring a group of kids together for a party, it’s a smart strategy to have a few organized games planned, but especially at Halloween when everyone is revved up from the excitement and candy. These games will work at both home and classroom parties. Just be sure to consider the ages of the children when you select the suitability of the games. Then go ahead and have a howling good time!

Wrap the Mummy - This game is a great hit for a classroom party. Divide the children into groups of three to five kids. Select one child in each group to be a mummy. Then give the other children a roll of toilet paper or crepe paper. Instruct them to wrap the mummy with the paper, leaving the eyes, nose and mouth uncovered. The first group to be done with their roll of paper, wins.

Halloween Freeze Dance - Play Halloween party music or creepy sound effects and tell the children to dance.

The “New” Keratin Complex by Peter Coppola in Boca Raton

The Keratin Complex formula offers the same silky result as the Brazilian but has the high percentage of keratin which is infused into the cuticle. “It’s all about the natural keratin,” says Coppola. “We are able to achieve these results without the formaldehyde in the Brazilian product. This is clearly safer and we get amazing results.”

This is the way it works: the hair is shampooed with a dedicated product. Once dry, the complex is applied to the hair and pressed into small sections using an iron that is 450 degrees. After processing, the client cannot shampoo her hair for 3 days. The effects last three to five months and “wear out” leaving no line of demarcation. It can be used on color treated hair and works on all textures.

The hair truly looked healthy, rejuvenated and conditioned. It seems to be a real bonus to the salon as well. The whole kit and kaboodle costs $350 for 12 services. Peter recommends charging about $350 per application, but we already heard of one salon charging $700.

For those of you who have had the Brazilian Staightening might want to consider this one for your next treatment.

Hopefully, we won’t find out in a couple of years that there is an unsafe product in here as well. We’ll cross our fingers!!!

Your kids will love trick or treating with their own homemade treat bag!

halloweenbag_h.jpg
Materials needed:
· Canvas tote bag (sold at local craft stores)
· Tempera paints (Halloween colors)
· Paintbrush
· Paper plates
· Scissors
· Wiggle eyes (sold at local craft stores)
· Felt, glitter, buttons, or other decorative materials (optional)
· Fabric glue
· Newspaper

What to do:

Step One: Lay newspaper over your work area in case of spills.

Step Two: Pour a bit of paint on a paper plate. Use a new plate for each color.

Step Three: Lay the canvas bag on the newspaper with the handles pointing towards you.

Step Four: Use the paintbrush to lightly coat the palm of your child’s hand with paint.

Step Five: Your child will make “ghosts” with her handprint. To do this, have her press her hand on the canvas bag where she wants her first “ghost” to be. Make sure her fingers are pointing away from the bag’s handles, toward the bottom of the bag (so when the bag is upright, you’ll see an upside-down handprint).

Step Six: Repeating Step Five, use different colors to make as many ghosts as she’d like.

Step Seven: Paint any other designs you’d like on the bag.

Step Eight: Let the paint dry. Then, glue a pair of wiggle eyes to each ghost, securing them with fabric glue.

Step Nine: Now, add any additional decorative items to the bag. For example, you could cut out a felt moon and glue it to the bag or add sparkle to your ghosts with glitter.

Step Ten: Let the bag dry completely - then fill it with treats on Halloween!
