Halloween fun for little people in South Florida
We know you’re busy helping the little one select a costume, so we took care of the trick-or-treat plans. Here’s a list of some of the places children can spend Halloween.
BROWARD COUNTY
TRICK-OR-TREAT SAFELY Oct. 31, 6-9 p.m., Miramar Town Center, 2300 Civic Center Place, Miramar. Children can safely trick or treat around the Town Center Plaza. There will be a DJ, games, a “creepy crawly” interactive booth, inflatable rides and more. Free. 954-704-1631.
FAMILY HALLOWEEN AND SAFETY FESTIVAL Oct. 20, 11 a.m.- 3 p.m., Plantation community Center, 5555 Palm Tree Road, Plantation. Enjoy a haunted house, children’s carnival, police and fire-safety exhibits, and costume contests. Free. 954-797-2180.
LITTLE GHOULS HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION Oct. 26, 5-8 p.m., David Park Community Center, 108 N. 33rd Court, Hollywood. Children ages 2-7 can enjoy fun games, contests and prizes. Free. 954-967-4236.

PALM BEACH COUNTY
ENCHANTED VILLAGE Oct. 20, 3-5 p.m. Phipps Park, 4301 S. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach. Join costumed characters from your favorite children’s books, fairy tales and movies as you wander through the Enchanted Village’s many vignettes. “BABY” BOO AT THE ZOO Oct. 26, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Palm Beach Zoo, 1301 Summit Blvd., West Palm Beach. For all those itty-bitty ghost and ghouls. Enjoy trick-or-treating in a safe environment, not-so-scary animal encounters, costume contests, haunted house, live music, storytelling, face painting and more. 561-533-0877.
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
HALLOWEEN FAMILY DAY Oct. 27, noon-3 p.m., Miami Beach Botanical Garden, 2000 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach. Children are encouraged to dress in costumes and participate in pumpkin carving and decorating, a costume parade, games and activities. Free. 305-673-7256.
