It’s time to talk about Fall Accessories! We know how much you have been looking for new ideas, fresh products & key looks, and here at Shopping the Trend, we like to zero in on these all at once.

If you have read our Fall Fashion Preview, you already know about Retro Chic, Simple & Minimal and the Menswear-inspired looks for Fall 2007 (among others!). Your accessories need to compliment these trends, so you can leave the boho vibe behind for now.

This is all about spit & polish, grown-up, structured and very dramatic.

Shoes & boots come in a variety of color - suede isn’t going anywhere, but you want Patent. Big time. The school-girl look wouldn’t be complete without your lace-up Oxfords, and there are some very unique choices available. If you plan to wear oxfords with a pencil skirt, we say go for it, but only with tights. And of course they look great with wide-leg pants.

For general accessories, a big welcome back to gloves - while not for everyone, you can’t beat a full-length glove for sophistication. You will find yourself with a number of choices - we recommend you select items that fit your personal style.

For Fall handbags, the new Patent rule applies as well. We can summarize Handbag trends for Fall/Winter 2007 quite easily: shapes are more structured, colors are brighter, metallics are still very prominent, and the daytime clutch is only getting bigger.
