INTERNATIONAL MANGO FESTIVAL in Coral Gables, FL
July 14-15, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables.
This year, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden’s 15th annual International Mango Festival celebrates the Mangos of the Caribbean. Sample juicy mangos, vote for your favorite mangos, purchase a tree to grow your own mangos, or buy delicious mangos from the fruit market. Lectures, food demonstration, children’s activities. The Veranda Restaurant will be open for snacks and lunch, mango smoothies will be sold, and island music will be played throughout the weekend. All children dressed in pirate costumes get in free. Proceeds go toward Fairchild’s continuing programs in education, research, horticulture and conservation.
